The Vampire RPG is relaunched in this book. Someone who has been playing Vampire for a long time would probably enjoy this book, but will lose a lot of what they alredy have invested in the system, as there are only 5 clans and 2 are new. One, the Daeva, a vampire who specializes in passion and sexiness, has already making a name for itself at its GEN CON release.

If you have never been particular fond of Vampire before, this will be the book to draw you in, if ever. This is a more focused Vampire game and many of the things non-Vampire players disliked about the game are gone, such as too many clans and how elders can just boss people around. Vampire is now worth a second-look.

Some good reviews, some bad reviews. I would guess if you haven't played the old version you'd be more inclined to be satisfied with the new version, though some people liked the changes.

All Joy Randall wants is a little old-fashioned romance, but when she participates in a "Goddess evoking" ceremony with her friend, Roxy, Joy finds out her future true love is a man with the potential to put her immortal soul in danger. At first the ever-practical Joy is ready to dismiss her vision as a product of too much gin and too many vampire romances, but while traveling through the Czech Republic with Roxy, Joy begins to have some second thoughts about her mystery lover because she is suddenly plagued by visions of a lethally handsome stranger. Then, when she and Roxy attend a local GothFaire, Joy meets Raphael Griffin St. John, head of security, and she becomes even more bewildered because the dark and dangerous Raphael seems too close to her dreams for comfort. Readers will gladly give in to the wickedly sharp bite of MacAlister's wit in this temptingly toothsome romance. With its superb characterization and writing that manages to be both sexy and humorous, this contemporary paranormal love story is an absolute delight.

Seems to be another one of those books where the people who love it, really love it, and those who hate it seem to want to have a barn fire.

Katie MacAlister's book, Sex, Lies & Vampires, was Awesome! I absolutley loved it. It had a great story line that kept you turning the pages. This "laugh-out-loud" book will be sure to satisfy you romantics. The plot is pretty unpredictable which makes for a great and exciting story. Adrian and Nell make a great couple. I seriously recommend this book to all paranormal romance and comedy lovers, i couldn't put it down.

I think what some people seem to have a problem with this and some of her other books is that they don't like books written in first person. I don't remember what book it was, but there was a book I was reading and I started counting the number of times that the writer used the word I. I mean, there are little things like that in a book that if you are in a certain mindset you are going to find irritating.
