Caligula (Unrated Version)

Editorial Reviews
Description

Caligula may very well be the most controversial film in history. Only one movie dares to show the perversion behind Imperial Rome, and that movie is "Caligula," the epic story of Rome's mad emperor. All the details of his cruel, bizarre reign are revealed right here: his unholy sexual passion for his sister, his marriage to Rome's most infamous prostitute, his fiendishly inventive means of disposing of those who would oppose him, and more. The combined talents of cinematic giants Malcolm McDowell, Peter O'Toole, John Gielgud and Shakespearean actress Helen Mirren, along with an acclaimed international cast and a bevy of beautiful Penthouse Pets, make this unique historical drama a masterwork of the screen. Not for the squeamish, not for the prudish, "Caligula" will shock and arouse you as it reveals the deviance and decadence beneath the surface of the grandeur that once was Rome.

(This movie only barely qualifies as a sexy movie based on only a couple of scenes. For the most part it is not sexy and really is not a good movie. But it was controversial for its time and is relevant to not only the history of Rome but to the history of attempted censorship in America.)

The Image (1976)

Reviewer: Manfred Zeichmann from Austria Radley METZGER's THE IMAGE (also known under the more exploitative title THE PUNISHMENT OF ANNE) is without doubt not everybody's cup of tea. Based on an infamous French bestseller this movie is shocking in its relentless depiction of a weird triangle relationship between a mature woman, her submissive young girl friend and a curious author. Please note: If you feel uneasy when you see graphic sex, humiliation, degradation, bondage, whipping and urination, then do not watch this film. On the other hand, this is no raincoat brigade movie. Instead it is a masterly crafted piece of art with outstanding cinematography, a beautiful score and fine actors (Yes, everybody here can act better than most mainstream academy award winners.) Regrettably the rough SM scenes could easily distract from or obscure the motivation of the characters. THE IMAGE has an unusual book-like structure with chapters (no, I'm not refering to the DVD chapters). According to the liner notes the film is very faithful to its literary source. I liked the social setting of the film - it takes places among educated, eloquent and wealthy jet set people. And the film makes good use of its nice Paris locations. I found THE IMAGE very compelling viewing. I just didn't like the fitting room scene too much, because it seemed like a rather cliche porn situation to me. Some words about the DVD: SYNAPSE did a real great job with the transfer. One can't praise the picture quality high enough. The uncut film is presented widescreen. Unfortunately there aren't too many extras: the director's filmography, an isolated score and five trailers of Radley METZGER movies: SCORE, THE LICKERISH QUARTET, CAMILLE 2000, THERESE AND ISABELLE and CARMEN BABY. Kudos to Stephen R. BISSETTE for his insightful liner notes. I recommend to read it before you watch the movie, because it really enhances your understanding of the film despite some spoilers.

Naked Detective (1996)

Reviewer: A viewer from Washington, D.C. This movie is funny and hot. The women are beautiful, especially Ms. Donatacci-Grammar. The story and comedy are also quite good considering the genre. Maybe not worth the...price tag, but a must see.

Don't know why this movies hasn't been released on DVD. If you check cable/satellite listings it is shown on occasion late night. It is very tempting to post pictures of some of the women just to show why this movie is better than average but guess I won't. It is not totally missing something for women as well.

Casting Couch (1999)

Reviewer: darkgenius from Shelby, NC USA Casting Couch doesn't really need a lot of explanation. What kind of things can you imagine taking place on a casting couch? Yep, you got it. Just add a reasonably attractive hostess leading you from one story to the next, and you've got Casting Couch all figured out. This little film does come from the fine folks at Surrender Cinema, but I'm afraid you won't see any of their real stars putting in an appearance. Sadly, that means no Jacqueline Lovell or Venesa Taylor. The girls in these "auditions" aren't bad, though, and just for those who would complain about the exploitation of young actresses, even in a fictionalized portrayal such as this, there is one scene wherein a woman does a little exploiting of a man and, of course, another scene featuring a woman casting director trying to make sure an actress is going to be comfortable with the type of scene she is auditioning for. I'll give this effort three stars, with one point deducted for the lack of any real Surrender Cinema starlets and another point deducted for the fact that I saw a little more than I really wanted to see of the actors (if you know what I mean).

--------

Unlike Naked Detective I haven't seen this movie. But gathering from the last comment of the above reviewer I guess it isn't geared just for men but has little something for women.

Forbidden (2002)

Unrated Reviewer: Eric from Albany, NY In a genre crowded with mediocrity this little gem delivered on all levels! Great looking women (although I would've given 5 stars if there were more than 4 of them), nice "action", EXCELLENT story, and quite a bit of craft involved with it's production. Also the fun DVD extras were a nice surprise, its like hanging out on the set. I did a credit search and it seems like the Producer and Director were responsible for a bunch of Playboy's better titles.

Carnal Sins (2001)

A sexually inhibited woman takes a mentor in the world of nude photography.

Well, she isn't really inhibited but that is her excuse for wanting to move out on her boyfriend to explore her sexuality with a dude she met at party. He is an established photographer in erotica and that is what she wants to be.

After she moves out she notices her neighbors like to do it with the curtains open. She takes pictures. The sexy neighbor lady notices her taking the pictures and gets even hotter. Later, the neighbor lady ask if she can have copies and also if the budding photographer will take more pictures but not from so far away--rather while in the room with them.

One of the better scenes is at the party at the start of the movie. She discovers by way of a drinking game that her boyfriend has cheated on past lovers and she wonders if he has ever cheated on her. Chemistry has already started between her and the more established and skilled photographer. This triggers a fantasy where she has sex with her boyfriend in front of everyone at the party including the photographer.

Hotter Than Hell Erotic Horror Movie Set

Product Details Encoding: Region 1 (US and Canada only) Format: Color Rated: NR Studio: Brentwood Communications DVD Features: Number of discs: 2 Amazon.com Sales Rank (DVD): 4,470

Stephanie Beaton ("Unnatural Born Killers") is a real feast to the eyes (she played a woman detective in the first two movies of this 4-pack and boy, was she hot). Other than that, don't expect too much on the "scary" side. Just be happy with lots of skin and gore

Original Sin (Unrated Version) (2001)

Original Sin belongs in the "so bad it's good" category of languid potboilers, offering enough nudity, sexual chemistry, and far-fetched plotting to make it an enjoyable lazy-day diversion. Based on Cornell Woolrich's novel Waltz into Darkness (previous filmed by François Truffaut as Mississippi Mermaid) and set in turn-of-the-century Cuba, the film traces a tailspin of amorous obsession when coffee plantation owner Luis (Antonio Banderas) discovers that his American mail-order bride (Angelina Jolie) is not the plain wife he'd expected, but a beautiful, scheming thief who's after his fortune. The movie asserts that love is truly blind, but absurd twists of plot make Luis appear more stupid than passionate. Writer-director Michael Cristofer fared better with Jolie in Gia; here, he's made another good-looking film about beautiful people, but its plot just can't be taken seriously. --

Sexual Predator (2001)

Sexual Predator Handsome Richard Grieco (Manhattan Midnight, A Night at the Roxbury) and the sensationally sexy Angie Everhart (2000 "Playboy" centerfold, Heart of Stone, Love in Paris) set the screen on fire in Sexual Predator - a blisteringly hot erotic thriller full of intrigue and suspense, and packed with the most incredibly intense love scenes since 9 ½ Weeks. photographer J.C. Gale (Grieco) is found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for the fatal and accidental erotic asphyxiation of a beautiful young woman, Beth Spinella (Everhart), the agent assigned to monitor his probation, is the dead woman's best friEND, and vows to prove that Gale is a habitual sexual predator. As she is pulled deeper and deeper into the deviant world of power, sex and submission, her own fantasies begin to blur the lines between pleasure and pain, and right and wrong, leaking to some very dangerous and deadly consequences.

Erotic Witch Project Collector's Edition DVD (1999)

Softcore erotica
popular in thailand
as many people hated this movies as liked it.

Reviewer: Eric In the midst of the popularity of The Blair Witch Project, it was inevitable that such a pop phenomenon would come to inspire so many parodies. Unsurprisingly, one such spoof took the soft core path, and it's probably the most popular of the bunch. Take the original plot, make it three young women instead of two guys and a girl, and put them off to the woods in the search of the legendary erotic witch and you've got the (very) basic plot for The Erotic Witch Project. Of course, these three ladies come under the influence of the erotic witch and end up getting into all sorts of lesbian encounters with one another. Since this is a softcore film, this should be reviewed on an entirely different basis than the average movie. After all, things such as acting, writing, and competent direction don't matter here. All you need to see are three attractive women who display lots of skin and get it on with one another. Even at that, it's hardly perfect, but it'll probably work up a quick fix for those who like this sort of thing (being a guy, I do like this sort of thing). The three women on hand are Katie Keane (who now seems to go by the name Laurie Wallace, but I'll stick with the name Keane for the review), a blonde; Victoria Vega, a brunette; and Darian Caine, who has dark hair. Keane is easily the most physically attractive of the lot (which is nice considering she spends the entire last half-hour wandering around in a forest without any clothes on) and also displays the most acting ability (or maybe a better way to put it would be more enthusiasm than both Vega and Caine combined). She gets in at least two classic moments, the first is when she and Vega are under the spell of the erotic witch and she complains about being nude on video while Vega strips her clothes off one-by-one. The second is probably the most famous scene in the entire movie, a three-minute long parody of Heather Donahue's tearful "I'm so sorry" speech, except Keane happens to be fondling her bare breast for the entire segment. The Erotic Witch Project most definitely could have done without the guy running around in a gorilla suit who occasionally makes grunting noises during the lesbian scenes. And hey, it probably could have even done without Darian Caine, whose constant griping and raspy voice are more annoying than sexy. Still, this is an amusing, sexy softcore flick that Blair Witch haters will probably find up their alley.

Loving Sex - Erotic Seduction (1999)

erotic softcore the one person who gave the review liked it.

The Erotic Rites of Countess Dracula (2001)

erotic softcore

Reviewer: Tony Crosgrey from Fringe Video Fanzine, Peterborough, Ontario Weaned on Forrest J. Ackerman's Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine from an early age, director Donald Glut is no stranger to the subject of B-movie creatures. Not only a filmmaker he is also a fan, and it shows in his work. An expert of all things related to prehistoric dinosaurs, Donald Glut's film Dinosaur Valley Girls (1995) seemed to be a tribute to the days of Ray (One Millon Years B.C. (1967) Harryhausen's stop motion animation classics. This time.. Instead of jurassic classics, it's vampire girls. One night after a gig, a sexy 1960's rock star is attacked by Count Dracula (played by biker, bare-knuckle brawler, cowboy, bee-girl fighter William Angels Die Hard (1970) / Grave of the Vampire (1972) Smith). The next evening she awakens to find that she has joined the undead. "...your youth and beauty will remain untounched by time forever! - what the hell are you babbling about???..." It's not long before she murders a friend to satisfy her hunger. Despising her new existence the Scarlet Countess vows never to kill another human again. Many years later depressed, and suicidal she demands that her insect-eating servant ram a stake through her heart. Unable to destroy her, she finds out that if she can get three beautiful young virgins to sacrifice their blood willingly in a single night, she can become human and mortal again, which doesn't turnout as expected, as she quickly ages. The Scarlet Countess is given a second chance, as the victims, now vampires themselves, who turn her back to a beauty in an erotic and climactic ending. Great to see the added commentary track. Also look for a new film entitled The Mummy's Kiss (2002)

The Sexy 6th Sense (2001)

softcore erotica though some suggest it could get a pg rating. I don't know.

Sexy 6th Sense (2001) d: West, Terry, February 4, 2002 Reviewer: Tony Crosgrey (see more about me) from Fringe Video Fanzine, Peterborough, Ontario '...What Ghostly Pleasures Lie Beyond The 5 Senses?; ...I see dead lesbians.' Another erotic spoof from the people at Seduction Cinema. What makes this film any different than Gladiator Eroticvs (2000) or Erotic Witch Project 2 (2001). Not a whole-lot! The film is full of the same silly comedy routines, and independent film-making I have come to love, and expect from this company. Their plots are mainly direct exploitation rip-offs of Hollywood blockbusters, with LOTS of nudity. What better reason is there than that. This time around they spoof the Bruce Willis Hollywood hit The Sixth Sense (1999). "...Frances is a lonely young man cursed with the ability to experience beyond the five senses. But that curse turns to a blessing when he begins to see the spirits of sexy, succulent, uninhibited lesbians engage in erotic games of pleasure that seem all too real". Little more than a great title and tag line, perhaps they flogging a dead horse? The film is still very enjoyable and fun. And did I mention the naked lesbians

Bully (Unrated/ Theatrical Edition) (2001)

Unrated

Acclaimed director Larry Clark delivers his most powerful film since KIDS. Marty (Brad Renfro) is a tormented surfer who relies on his longtime pal Bobby (Nick Stahl) for rides to the beach and South Florida bars despite vicious abuse. But when Bobby turns his unwanted attention to Marty's new girlfriend Lisa (Rachel Miner) and her best friend Ally (Bijou Phillips), Lisa decides Bobby's reign of terror must end. Assembling a crew of alienated suburban teens, she forms a deadly plan to get Bobby out of the way once and for all, turning friends into enemies and casual acquaintances into co-defendants in a murder that rocked America to its core.

Reviewer: Christopher Kennison from New Bloomfield, Mo United States Wow! The graphic and true-to-life nature of BULLY may keep it from getting the recognition that it deserves, but it's scarily affective in its delivery. The performances in the movie are oscar-caliber. Hands down! That won't be acknowledged, but they are. No bones about it. There are some excellent actors here. Brad Renfro, Nick Stahl, Michael Pitt, Rachel Miner and Bijou Phillips all are fantastic and REAL. Not to mention, the capable direction of a balsy director like LARRY CLARK, who isn't afraid to do anything. And I mean anything! The movie touches on everything you can think of. The most prevalent being the real life murder.. Also, drugs, rape, porn, abuse, alienation. I don't know if LARRY CLARK is trying to shock people or not, In fact, I'm sure he is; but in the context of the movie, you believe that these kids are into all this stuff. Because it happens. It's real. In fact, that's the scariest part of it. I challenge everyone to watch the movie and see if they can't find someone in it that reminds them of someone they might know. The movie is disturbing. And it's supposed to be. As the friends all discuss the plan. Back and forth. Back and forth. Arguing with each other. Showing their immaturity. It's gut churning. Knowing what they're planning. Thinking of what they want to do. What they're gonna do. Yet, never thinking of what might happen afterward. How many teenagers do we know like that?

Monster's Ball (2002)

Product Details Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Halle Berry, See more Director: Marc Forster Encoding: Region 1 (US and Canada only) Format: Color, Closed-captioned, Widescreen, Dolby Rated: Not for sale to persons under age 18. Studio: Vidmark Productions Ltd DVD Features: Theatrical trailer(s) Audio commentary by director Marc Forster & director of photography Roberto Schaefer Audio commentary by Halle Berry & Billy Bob Thornton and director Marc Forster Deleted Scenes & Outtakes "Making of the Music" featurette Widescreen letterbox format

The unflinching realism and searing performances of Monster's Ball are stunning in all the connotations of the word. Hank (Billy Bob Thornton) and Leticia (Halle Berry) inhabit stark, queasy realities of the contemporary South, he as a death row corrections officer and she as the soon-to-be widow of an inmate (Sean Combs) whose execution Hank helps conduct. In the aftermath of the execution, both lose their children to tragic deaths and they form an unlikely bond. In the hands of lesser participants, the fateful plot might strain credibility and seem tailored to allow for liberal sermonizing about the obvious wrongs of our legal justice system, but director Marc Forster and cinematographer Roberto Schaefer balance the contentious nature of the film's issues--the death penalty, racism both overt and subtle, interracial couples--with a flawless attention to character and visual detail that completely convinces. The moral ambiguity of both central characters is given full voice as our sympathy is drawn out reluctantly at first but all the more resolutely in the end. Thornton draws from seemingly limitless resources to deliver yet another outstanding performance, but it is Halle Berry who is a revelation as she sustains throughout the complex tenor of brutality witnessed and raw courage defined. --Fionn M
