Primitive Art

Abstract Folk Art

Above Paintings by Chuck Peters.

These are two paintings that I did back in the 1970's. I know this style isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like this style. It actually can add a certain flavor to some room's decor. Course, it depends on what look you are going for. If you are going for elegant then probably not. If you are going for fun, country chic, then I think it is a good look.

The most obvious comment when someone sees primitive or folk type art, especially in abstract, is "I could do that good or I know someone who could do that good." But that is the good thing about this type of art. It is creative. It isn't difficult. It is very relaxing. And hey, if it matches the style of a room in your house or someone elses house then it serves a purpose.

I do not have either of these paintings for sale. I have sold some of my paintings, which I now wish I hadn't done. Actually, the one particular I wish I had not sold was sold by my father but I did have it in the store on display. I just thought I had the price too high.
